Grid Engineer - Hybrid role – UK travel required
This role involves UK travel to sites, typically 2 -3 days at a time, with occasional overnight stays and the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.
About Us
Infinis is the UK’s leading renewable energy generator of low-carbon power from captured methane. We capture methane gas from landfill sites and disused mines and convert it into electricity. We are also developing a portfolio of solar farms and battery energy storage (BESS) technology.
This work helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which supports the transition to net zero. We’re driving innovation and environmental responsibility and are committed to creating safe, sustainable energy solutions for a greener future.
With demand for renewables continuing to rise, the energy sector offers an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career on diverse, dynamic, large-scale projects.
About the Role
As a Grid Engineer, you will ensure Infinis has the technical capability and capacity to deliver both its current construction portfolio and its ambitious five-year growth strategy, including new solar and BESS developments.
You will lead and manage grid connection activities across the full project lifecycle—from feasibility through to energisation—ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and fully compliant with grid codes and regulatory requirements. The role spans established assets and new technologies and requires regular travel across the UK, Scotland and Wales.
Ideally, you will be based in the Midlands or the North East, or in other equally accessible locations, to enable efficient management of northern and central projects and reduce travel time across multiple sites.
