About The Role
When Ecotricity started out Green Energy didn’t exist as we know it today, we kick-started a revolution which literally changed the world. We continue that mission today, pumping our profits back into new green initiatives including wind, solar, and even green gas mills. What this means is that working with us isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to be part of a movement that is transforming the energy industry and contributing to a better world.
It'll be no surprise that our vision attracts fantastic individuals who share the goal of a sustainable future. Together, we work on innovative projects that push the boundaries of what's possible. We’re a supportive dynamic and collaborative culture that values and invests in our people. Join us in making a positive impact on the planet and shaping the future of energy!
We need an extra person to help us get the most out of our Junifer billing system and associated business applications. This means not only keeping the platform running smoothly but helping us develop it to support the long-term company objectives.

About You
We’re looking for excellent energy industry knowledge, including billing, meter management, regulations/compliance, and customer service tools. You’ll also have a track record working in a Technology team as an engineer or similar, preferably focused on energy billing systems.
You’ll be able to talk to us about how you engage and communicate with stakeholders, and how you use your analytical mind to understand complex situations and deliver business-focused solutions. You also won’t be afraid of jumping on a call and talking to people to deliver quicker and more effective solutions!
Some of the engineering solutions you’ve delivered will have been with external I.T. providers, so you’ll be comfortable defining, testing, and launching technology solutions in a technical world.
Whilst you’ll be a ‘hands-on’ person fixing issues, this job needs you to be just as comfortable contributing to technical and strategy meetings - it’s part of the variety that makes this role so interesting.

Ecotricity is Britain's greenest energy company. When we started back in 1995, we were the first company in the world to provide a new kind of electricity- the green kind.
Our mission was, and remains, to change the way energy is made and used in Britain- by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable energy.
We don't just supply green energy, we use the money from our customers' bills to make it ourselves too- we build windmills and sun parks in Britain. We call this 'bills in to mills'. In 2021, we started work on building two new solar parks, and now, in 2022, we're bringing geothermal energy to our customers' fuel mix, a first in the UK. We're also developing green gas mills which will generate 100% green gas from a source that we will never run out of- grass.
We don't just focus on energy though- we built Electric Highways, Britain's leading network of electric vehicle charging points, we helped Forest Green Rovers become the greenest football club in the world, and, in partnership with RSPB, we launched Britain's greenest mobile phone service, Ecotalk + RSPB.
Ecotricity is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to providing equality for all.
