Overview
A leading EV charging software and fleet electrification business is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the deployment of smart charging and charge management solutions across large-scale fleet operations.
This role sits at the intersection of EV infrastructure, software integration, and operational delivery. You will oversee complex, multi-site implementations involving electrical contractors, charge point installers, networking teams, and cloud-based platforms.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience within the EV charging ecosystem and be confident managing infrastructure works, system integration, commissioning, and stakeholder communication in fast-paced, technically complex environments.
The Role
The Project Manager will take full ownership of EV charging and smart charging deployments across multiple fleet customer sites.
You will coordinate hardware installation, CMS configuration, and system commissioning while ensuring sequencing between infrastructure readiness and software implementation is tightly managed.
This is a delivery-focused leadership role requiring structured governance, proactive risk management, and strong communication across technical and commercial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Programme & Project Delivery
- Lead end-to-end rollout of EV charging and smart charging systems across multiple sites.
- Develop and manage project plans, delivery schedules, and critical paths.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards.
- Identify risks and dependencies early, driving mitigation strategies.
EV Infrastructure & Technical Oversight
- Coordinate third-party contractors delivering EV charger installation and electrical upgrades.
- Oversee integration of chargers, metering, networking, and cloud-based platforms.
- Manage commissioning and ensure connectivity and system performance meet requirements.
- Support structured troubleshooting during deployment phases.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary delivery contact during implementation.
- Provide structured reporting on milestones, risks, and progress.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Implement structured project controls and reporting frameworks.
- Maintain documentation, quality assurance, and compliance processes.
- Contribute to improving rollout methodologies and deployment standards.
Required Experience
- Experience in project or programme management within EV charging, electrification, or energy infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience delivering multi-site EV charging deployments.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, networking, and software-enabled charging platforms.
- Experience managing contractors, OEMs, utilities, and infrastructure partners.
- Ability to operate confidently in complex, high-growth, delivery-focused environments.
