Project Engineer required for major Offshore Wind Farm developer based in England
Responsibilities
- Identification of technical interface issues and the facilitation of their resolution
- Develop, apply and maintain interface and design management tools and monitoring processes, including those for scope management and for interface documentation transfer
- Ensure HSE&S considerations are fundamental inputs to the design process and are documented
- Ensure the compatibility of technical specifications and scopes throughout the design phase, in supply contracts and during manufacturing
- Communicating interface risk to the Engineering and Package Managers and other relevant project stakeholders
- Coordination of regular interface meetings with suppliers
- Management of relevant external engineering consultancy contracts
- Planning and implementation of works packages such as mock-ups, test pieces and trials required for design development
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice
- Actively support the design review and approval process, including leading interface design decisions through to closure
- Participate in Design Safety Reviews (including constructability and operability)
- Assist the project's Engineering Manager in the investigation and resolution of technical issues encountered during fabrication and installation of the project assets
- Assist the project's Engineering Manager in the coordination and delivery of technical and design safety documentation for handover
Requirements
- Experience in large projects where multiple interfaces between work packages and technical disciplines exist
- Excellent communication, analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong coordination skills, highly motivated, confident and resourceful
- Commercially aware
- As the project progresses travel will be required with the role, both nationally, within western Europe and potentially globally
- Experienced in Offshore Wind
- Experience in working under CDM 2015
