About The Role
As a business analyst you will be a key member of the data engagement team – which has been established to lead , the definition & delivery of high value outcomes that have significant impact on our organisations commercial & company objectives. You will be responsible for delivering quantifiable outcomes that enable the build and development process of several U.K. & International payments products and features. This will include understanding and documenting business requirements, user stories and processes, supporting data & product owners and operational teams in creating and delivering outcomes, and for the capture and maintenance of data artefacts and materials. As a business analyst in this high profile team you will also play an important role in sharing knowledge of the outcomes data can deliver across the bank to enable the bank’s continued growth.
Requirements
The role will involve:
- Performing business and data analysis across ClearBank, transforming analysis and requirements in to concise, written and visual outputs that articulate quantifiable outcomes that enable business strategy goals.
- Using the analysis performed to assist the data & product owners in maturing how data is managed across the bank to achieve business strategy goals.
- Shaping and contributing ideas and analysis to solution and design workshops
- Documenting current and future processes, data artefacts and other workshops outputs, with the aim that the materials can be shared, presented, and used by various stakeholders (internal and external to the bank)
- Ensuring all data outcomes, goals and acceptance criteria / metrics (including tangible & intangible benefits) are defined, documented, and understood across the bank.
- Leading the review (grooming) of backlogs with data owners and scrum teams, ensuring backlogs reflect the data & product owner’s order of priorities.
- Working with scrum masters, architects, and developers to create and refine stories, allowing them to be able to plan and start work.
- Leading knowledge share and presenting your business analysis outputs with other teams across the bank.
The ideal candidate will be and possess:
- Proven experience in working on multiple product deliveries at the same time, being structured in approach of achieving objectives and goals.
- Experience of working with U.K. Payment Schemes (ideal but not essential)
- Strong analysis, problem-solving, and idea creation skills – contributing to the design and solution process.
- Experience of working in agile product delivery with a ‘product thinking’ mindset
- Experience and working knowledge of data governance, quality & analytics frameworks.
- Experience of analysing data to support business objectives and drive data maturity growth, including use of SQL.
- Technically adept within Azure environments & using O365 applications, DevOps, Tableau, Miro
- Ability to convert analysis in to clear and concise documentation – visual representation is important.
