With a strong project delivery track record and a growing installed asset base, the business is now expanding its Operations & Maintenance division to support long-term system performance and customer service excellence.

The Role
An experienced and driven O&M Manager is required to lead and develop the Operations & Maintenance function across:
- Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
- Solar PV systems
- EV charging infrastructure
- Monitoring and back-office platforms
This office-based role in Kent will take full responsibility for planned and reactive maintenance delivery, monitoring performance optimisation, team development and the continued scaling of the O&M division nationally.
Key Responsibilities
Planned & Reactive Maintenance
- Oversee all scheduled servicing and reactive works for ASHP and Solar PV systems
- Coordinate engineer attendance, parts logistics and client communications
- Ensure works are delivered within SLA, compliance and quality standards
Monitoring & Performance Management
- Manage Solar PV and ASHP monitoring platforms to ensure system uptime
- Identify underperformance trends and coordinate corrective actions
- Produce monthly reporting on performance metrics and KPIs
EV Charging & Back Office
- Oversee EV charging back-office platforms and ensure charger uptime
- Manage user access, remote diagnostics and escalation processes
- Ensure smooth transition from installation to ongoing maintenance
Team Leadership & Growth
- Build and manage an internal service coordination and engineering team
- Recruit and manage approved subcontractors nationwide
- Implement training, QA processes and scalable operational structures
Operational & Commercial Oversight
- Develop and refine O&M workflows, documentation and procedures
- Ensure compliance with MCS, NICEIC and internal quality standards
- Support budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
- Drive efficiency across scheduling, reporting and interdepartmental communication
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Proven experience managing O&M operations within renewable energy or building services (Solar PV, ASHP or EV infrastructure)
- Strong understanding of planned maintenance and reactive response models
- Experience managing internal teams and subcontractor networks
- Working knowledge of monitoring platforms (SolarEdge, SolisCloud, myEnergi or equivalent)
- Experience using CRM/job management systems (simPRO, ServiceM8 or similar)
- Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
Desirable:
- Technical qualifications in electrical, mechanical or renewable systems
- Experience scaling a service division
- Knowledge of ISO, MCS and NICEIC compliance frameworks
