A new opportunity has come up for an
internship in our ERM Manchester office. This role will focus on supporting the team on
Environmental Impact Assessments and your duties will aid the growth and successful operation of our Capital Projects Delivery team. We work with our clients to achieve their strategic goals and growth objectives at every stage of a capital project.
This internship will be for up to 6 months, and will most likely be on a part-time basis (circa 20 hours per week).
About The Opportunity
As part of the team, you will support the delivery of large-scale capital development projects, including for oil and gas (with a growing portfolio of decommissioning-related work), renewables and infrastructure sector clients.
This is a truly exciting opportunity to make an impact through your day-to-day work as part of multidisciplinary project teams and network with ERM's global impact assessment technical communities, sharing resources and best practice approaches across the industry.
The key roles and responsibilities include:
- Develop Prefeasibility and Environmental Impact Assessment studies.
- Assist in the preparation, research, and development of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) reports, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Ability and flexibility to work across a range of services and sectors.
- Active interaction with the rest of the team and the client, aimed at the most effective and successful delivery of a project.
What You Will Need To Succeed
- A degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences or other relevant disciplines.
- Familiarity with EIA processes.
- Ability to write well structured, concise and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents.
- GIS skills will be considered a plus.
