You will be responsible the design, development, and delivery of multiple LV vehicle systems across numerous electric vehicle projects across all stages of the product development lifecycle, working closely with the design and integration team to deliver projects on time and to budget.
Involved in the definition of the vehicle-level control architecture and strategy reporting to the Lead Systems Engineer to ensure project technical requirements are met.
Lead the development of the next generation of ECUs through model-based software development, SIL, HIL and vehicle testing and validation to support a platform approach to EV design.
Develop system-level DFMEA and DVP ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
Execution of vehicle-level testing to support completion of the DVP.
Produce system and component level requirements documents and manage suppliers to deliver hardware in line with project milestones.
Essential
- A sound understanding of vehicle control strategies and software development.
- Generation of model-based software using MATLAB Simulink
- Generation of embedded code
- Code unit testing and debugging
- Understanding of CANbus systems and data log analysis.
- Experience in automotive system design, development, and delivery.
- Knowledge of vehicle low voltage systems and harnessing best practices.
Desirable
- Hands-on experience in working on vehicles in a workshop environment.
- Experience in LV and HV harness design
- Knowledge of EV system architecture including motors, traction inverters, DCDC converters, power distribution chargers and thermal systems.
- Willingness to learn and get involved in all aspects of vehicle development.
- Experience with functional safety and EV legislative standards (e.g ISO26262 and UNECE REG100).
