Summary
To participate in developing OXAGON’s Research and Innovation ecosystem, specifically by focusing on developing comprehensive product portfolio and tenants’ strategic development journey, as well as prospecting, developing, attracting and ultimately securing tenants to the R&I Campus, in line with approved business plan.
Responsibilities
- Leading the market research efforts in gaining in-depth understanding of potential tenants’ profiles, there strategic goals, decision making structures and processes, as well as their specific needs, expectations and concerns
- Supporting product & service development activities in line with R&I District strategy and together with OXAGON sectors
- Supporting business development attraction efforts through the development and execution of thoughtful, well developed outreach plans and sales strategies
- Building relationships within key innovation communities and corporate tenants through a comprehensive and holistic approach to attracting and engaging
- Conduct strategic market research and continuously keep up to date with innovation campuses/ cities/ hubs and their development regionally and internationally
- Evolving the engagement strategies from development of target plans, outreach methods and messaging, and partner assessments to identify and present relevant, high potential partners
- Strategizing different ways to build tenant pipelines and execute on tactical research, lead generation, events and sourcing campaigns
- Regularly updating data in the CRM system, including the review and creation of contact details, assist with recording activities, including client meetings, and assist with other meaningful back end data entry activities in CRM and other databases
- Leading the business intelligence efforts withing the area of responsibility in order to build and maintain an in-depth understanding of the key markets
- Scheduling internal and external meetings as well as attending them to document discussions and inform next steps
- Assisting in the creation and development of proposals, pitch decks, case studies, and more
- Managing a range of administrative duties
- Organizing internal and external events, conferences and meetings
- Working on ad hoc projects and wearing “multiple hats”
- Contribute to shaping the overall team culture through own behaviors and supporting and coaching others
- Contribute to delivering against overall team targets and ensuring that the team is a high performer
- Work with new manufacturing tenants to understand their current situation and aspirations using the Index, challenge their thinking where appropriate, then jointly develop a plan to enable them to meet their aspirations. Support them in the execution of the plan, ensuring to transfer skills to the tenant’s team
- Engage with established manufacturing tenants to support their ongoing Advanced Manufacturing journey
- Provide guidance and support to innovation campus tenants as they move through the product development process, helping them to understand and test relevant production processes and technologies and to design production systems to industrialize their products
- Engage with NEOM sectors when appropriate to provide advice on Advanced Manufacturing topics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or other related field
- Master’s degree desirable
- Consulting experience desirable
- Experience with performing research and business analysis and structuring complex data
- Experience with market analysis, strategy and business development of the following regions: KSA, MENA, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Europe, North America
- Experience developing concepts and implementation plans to deliver complex and cross-initiative activities and events involving internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of managing partners or providers (internal or external) to understand their approach, challenge their ambitions and jointly develop and implement appropriate solutions
- Confident in interacting with senior managers and executives, able to give presentations and hold discussions without support
- Good stakeholder management skills, proven ability to lead partners (internal or external), collaborate and build networks
- Good interpersonal skills, able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and to influence others without direct authority
- Strong analytical skills, abstract problem solving and logical reasoning. Experience of consulting preferred which could be from an in-house consulting group
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering a high standard of presentation preparation and working with all MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc…)
- Flexible and adaptable, able to deal creatively with workplace challenges
- Pragmatic, able to find practical solutions and to get things done
