The Data Office Manager is responsible for running the Oxagon Data Office day-to-day. The candidate will manage operations of the Data Office and its resources, collaborate with Strategy Office Lead to discuss strategic decisions that align with goals of the Data Office. The candidate will oversee data and provide direction for data analyst on actions and analysis that help achieve the overarching goals of Oxagon and NEOM.
The candidate must have an in-depth understanding of data analytics/ visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and the ability to distill strategic insights from large datasets and, prepare executive-level presentations. The candidate must discuss strategic insights and key reports with Oxagon and NEOM senior leadership to align on next steps. Data Office Manager must have the ability to decipher and synthesize ambiguous and complex data and retrieve relevant findings that will help Oxagon and NEOM teams in their decision-making process.
Data Office Manager is expected to have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a hands-on approach to tailor the Data Office (and his role) to Oxagon and NEOM’s short- and long-term strategy and goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage Oxagon’s Data Office resources; provide day-to-day guidance and direction to the team, provide coaching & constructive feedback, and allocate tasks to business analyst
- Compile, process, analyze, and interpret large ambiguous datasets, containing technical, macro-, and socio-economic, and financial data / information and extract relevant findings
- Leverage data analytics/ visualization tools including Power BI and Tableau to synthesize data and information, draw actionable conclusions and strategic recommendations
- Ensure that calculation methodologies are aligned with other business units including Oxagon and NEOM to ensure consistency across the organization
- Build, manage and maintain business plans, financial and socio-economic models for Oxagon, as needed
- Perform market research to determine / verify economics and to verify assumptions used in data models
- Prepare executive-level storylines, presentations and reports that convey distilled insights and recommendations and present to senior leadership teams
- Plan and manage the implementation and execution of such recommendations
- Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
- Assist in creating data-ingesting pipelines using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Align short-and-long-term goals of conducted analysis and results of ongoing projects with overall Oxagon and NEOM goals and support strategic decision-making in line with Strategy Office Lead
- Ensure Data Repository / PBI dashboards are up-to-date, dashboards, and taxonomy to ensure consistency across key Oxagon documents
- Be up to date with the latest Oxagon projects & developments, ensuring Oxagon data repository contains cross-checked and relevant data for use of associated stakeholders across the organization
- Discuss with and report to Strategy Office Lead, ensuring the latter is always up to date with latest developments and deliverables timeline, and identify next steps to ensure timely submission of project deliverables
- Maintain Oxagon’s data confidentiality by ensuring data is only shared with designated personnel and using his/her judgement in cases not addressed by the data policy

Qualifications
- 5-7 years of working experience in strategy consulting, project management, data management, data analysis, a start-up, real estate finance, or relevant field
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Analytics, Strategic Management, Data Analysis or a related field from a distinguished institution
- Advanced degree is required. A master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems or MBA would be a plus
- Experience in managing teams, socio-economic development, and public sector
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint, and SQL is required and experience using Python and Oracle would be ideal
- Excellent understanding of data management and administration functions (collection, synthesis, analysis, distribution, etc.) and in-depth understanding of modern database tools and information technology
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and a drive for strategic thinking
- Excellent organizational skills with high standards of accuracy and timely execution required
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, can develop an effective storyline and presentations to communicate strategic messages including financial results to senior leadership
