Role Summary
The role of the Shift Manager is to allocate and manage all work-related activities assigned to Team Leads
and their teams, and is responsible for the safety, performance and reporting of their operations in line with
the set processes and standards, to ensure required service and productivity levels are achieved.
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and secure working environment
- Manage effective operations relating to the receipt, storage, value-add services, and dispatch of
goods within NEOM operations, focused on meeting customer’s needs
- Deliver operational performance to meet key performance targets
- Accurate and timely data and information processes and updates, including systems such as
WMS and TMS
- Ensure site and equipment are utilized and in a safe, proficient, and effective manner, including
the reporting of maintenance, repair, and breakdown requirements
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Follow and actively promote HSE compliance to deliver safe operational performance
- Identify and take appropriate actions to any health and safety related risks for all employees and
visitors
ORGANIZATION
- Manage team and individuals, following and applying appropriate HR procedures including
appropriate recognition and performance management
- Identify team and individual training requirements
- Onboard new hires with proper induction and training programs
- Manage team to ensure safety, delivery, performance, and business objectives, and compliance with
all relevant standards, regulations, and laws
OPERATIONAL DELIVERY
- Reviewing workload and planned volumes & activities, plan and align team resources to enable
effective operations and compliance to warehouse operations schedule
- Monitor all inbound, outbound and value add operations and services, adjusting assigned resources
where required to ensure operational performance delivery
- Monitor warehouse inventory and maintain records of all physical transactions, with appropriate and
applicable documentation and system updates processed and completed accurately and in-line with
required timings
- Resolution of operational issues, where required in cooperation and collaboration with peers,
colleagues, and key stakeholders
- Perform team briefings
- Ensure accurate and on-time reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and reports
- Monitor and recommend improvements in processes to increase efficiency of team members and
team performance
- Support and coordinate with Operations Manager and evaluate all tasks and recommend ways to
reduce cost and improve quality of all processes
- Counseling to employees as per requirement
- Develop and maintain professional engagement and communications with peers, colleagues, and key
stakeholders
- Support ongoing development and fulfilment of both Quality Management and Health & Safety
Management Systems
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Further / higher education in logistics, supply chain or related subject / and / or relevant industry experience advantageous
- WMS experience (preferably Blue Yonder)
- 3-5 years experience within busy warehousing / logistics operation
- Man-management and supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and safety orientated
- Strong understanding and experience of operational processes and able to drive performance within
- the operations team
- Process Mapping & SOP development
- Familiar with material handling equipment
- Able to Train / coach individuals on warehouse functional areas
- Lean / 5s / Six sigma methodology knowledge
- Good organizational skills
- Respectful leadership approach
- Able to manage others to get things done whilst working independently
- Able to manage stressful situations whilst making decisions
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Fluent English language skills required
- Strong hands-on mentality
- Knowledge of Automation systems, ASRS, Robots
