We’re looking for a Field Service Mechanical Technician to join our team. This would be a hybrid position and would involve working at home, on client sites both onshore and offshore as well as our Peterhead facilities.

Primary Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and problem solving of all gas generator start and operation issues
- Carry out Annual services, Including Minor and Major inspections on turbomachinery packages.
- Oversee plant operation of turbomachinery packages to ensure continuous operation as required.
- Provide core competence in use of all torque and tensioning equipment.
- Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments on all related work scopes
- Deliver toolbox talks on all related work scopes
- Supervise teams on a campaign or shutdown basis if required.
- Conduct site / offshore surveys and produce detailed reports of the equipment detailed above in accordance with the client and / or the company’s requirements
- Responsible for storage and return of all materials, equipment and tooling from the off-site location
Qualifications
- Minimum apprenticeship trained to NVQ / SVQ level 3 and City & Guilds level 2 or equivalent in a qualification relevant to the position.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within the Turbomachinery industry.
- TMJI10 – Mechanical Joint Integrity is preferable.
- TSBT01 and TSBT02 – Small Bore Tubing is preferable.
- Offshore survival, MIST and Offshore Medical is preferable.
Experience
- Ruston/Siemens TB5000 gas turbine packages (or similar) - desirable.
- Centrifugal Compressors – desirable.
- Reciprocating Compressors – desirable.
- Steam Turbines – desirable.
- Heavy Duty Turbines – desirable.
- Aero-derivative Turbines – desirable.
- Working to method statements, risk assessment, technical work packs and other documentation.
- Microsoft Office products.
