Role Purpose
- Responsible for leading transitional initiatives to establish annual financial planning and measuring performance against execution through involvement in management reporting activities
Performance Measures (KPIs)
- Readiness of identified team for decentralization
- Timely completion of financial planning activities as per calendar for transitional units
- Effective Budget controls and transparency of variance reporting
- Timely availability of monthly management reporting packs for critical and timely decision making
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the annual financial planning and budgeting for transitional entities and provide guidance to subsidiary team to run the process
- Perform measurement of performance for such entities and measure the budget performance reporting against the execution
- Lead the timely preparation and submission of monthly management reporting for transition units to reflect performance transparently
- Work closely with team to provide guidance and learning opportunities and develop their knowledge and expertise to ensure readiness for decentralization
- Identify transition-related issues in areas of FP&A and creating effective solutions to resolve them swiftly
- Cascade the strategic planning to business models and financial plans across the transitional units to ensure overall financial plan matches with the expectations
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and technology in FP&A space and provide expert inputs to subsidiaries for improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of the function and its accelerators
- Work closely with FRC department teams to ensure FP&A activities are conducted in line with accounting standards
- Liaise and support Transformation team in the designing and execution of initiatives and transformation programs
Background, Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 10 or more years’ experience in a similar role with a real estate, construction, sovereign wealth fund, or investments company
- Extensive knowledge in Financial & Management Accounting
- Extensive knowledge in Planning, Budgeting and & Management Reporting
- Knowledge of Financial and Management Consolidation
- Knowledge of SAP, BI and EPM tools
Qualifications
- Post-graduation degree/diploma or equivalent in management accounting and/or Finance
- Finance/Accounting certifications/qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA, CMA, ACCA, or similar)
