Maintenance Technician Wimbledon (Days : Monday to Friday)

As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanically biased (multi skilled) Maintenance Technician to complement their established and professional team based in the Morden area of Wimbledon.
The Special Products division of the business design, manufacture and sell a diverse range of solutions associated with the highest levels of purity and grades available of special gases and gas mixtures to extremely high levels of accuracy and tolerances for a diverse range of applications, ranging from breath test equipment used by the Police through to the calibration of gas supply lines and environmental air quality testing equipment and machinery.
As a Maintenance Technician you will be tasked with maintaining a range of equipment in the manufacturing facility that produces high quality gas cylinders for customers in the Food preparation, Pharmaceutical, Universities and many other industrial sectors and applications.
The role is a very much hands on position, where you will be expected to maintain all plant and equipment, in adherence with all operating and safety procedures, and includes installation, commissioning and maintenance of all plant and equipment on the cylinder filling site.
To be considered for the varied and challenging Maintenance Technician role (working Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm) you will be a highly enthusiastic mechanically biased individual with ideally an additional trade (Electrical or Instrumentation) and will understand the requirement to follow SHEQ standards and company operating procedures diligently. Working closely with the Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams to plan and execute all PPM and reactive breakdown repairs effectively, it is envisaged that you will realistically have completed a Level 4 Apprenticeship (or equivalent trade experience) in Mechanical Engineering with Electrical or Instrumentation experience preferred and previous experience of operating in a manufacturing, engineering or scientific environment.
You will be comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team and will be an excellent communicator at all levels, with a good level of IT proficiency in using the MS suite of packages.
