Role: Commissioning Technician

Introduction
We are looking to recruit an experienced Commissioning Technician to join one of the World’s largest manufacturers and developers in the wind industry. Our client is looking for a Commissioning Technician to travel to project sites in the UK/Ireland and Europe to take a wind turbine generator (WTG) from a mechanical state into early operational state including all associated tests and commissioning activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- As the Commissioning Technician, you will be responsible for:All safety aspects for all personnel.
- Ensure all commissioning activities and tools adhere to HSE regulations.
- Documentation of progress and quality based on the commissioning protocol.
- Reporting to site management and lead commissioner on quality, status and progress issues.
- Pre-commissioning inspections, rectify defects and support technical problems during project management phase.
- Feedback to Site Manager on independent fault analysis and repair minor faults.
- Issue of Q-Notes / non-conformity reports (NCR).
- Condition Monitoring Commissioning and testing.
- Coordinate with Site Manager related to switch-on/off operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- We are looking for someone with the following:Engineering qualification (HND / HNC / FETAC) or degree or equivalent.
- Strong technical level of Wind Turbines (advantageous).
- Proven track record of experience in the commissioning of technical industrial plants and experience in technical report writing.
- Completed Commissioning training (off and on the job).
- Health and Safety (LOTO / WTRS)
- Full clean drivers licence.
- Substantial experience as an Electrician or Service Technician.
- Willingness to travel internationally and the flexibility to stay up to 4 weeks.
