Hours: NIGHTS or ROTATING SHIFTS AVAILABLE (details below)
Salary: £35 to £40K, including the shift allowance & there is plenty of overtime available at T1/2 & T2.

Pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing organisation in the Huddersfield area looking for a Mechanical Engineer on a permanent basis due to extensive increase in order books. Nights or Rotating Shift patterns available.
Duties Of The Successful Mechanical Maintenance Technician Will Be
Carrying out all mechanical repairs, fault finds, TPM and other machine maintenance tasks on multiple high speed bottling and packaging lines.
Working with conveyors, hoppers, mixers, pumps, carousels, rotating and linear heads, pipes, cappers, labellers, testing, routine maintenance, fault finding and hands-on repair of a variety of high speed automated bottling, filling, packing machines and process equipment. Setting up machines, size changes, operating technical control panel systems on the machines such as Siemens.
Regular quality checks on the automated machinery to keep production flowing. Prior experience repairing, maintaining and working with any of the following machines would be a bonus but not essential; Marcosini, Skinetta, Modular, Sondermachines, Toledo, Krones, Farmomac, PE, IMA
The objective of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician role is to improve performance, maximise reliability and extend the flexibility of the machinery and equipment.
Key Areas For The Mechanical Maintenance Technician Include
- Attending breakdowns.
- Minimising downtime via reactive maintenance.
- Escalate complex faults to Shift Engineers.
- Continuous Improvement.
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering and at least two year's relevant experience.
- Assist Engineers with Installation & Commissioning of new equipment & projects.
The Successful Mechanical Maintenance Technician Will Need
Experience of working within a Mechanical Maintenance, Production Engineering (ideally FMCG, Chemicals, Pharmaceutical industry) environment within a fast paced and GMP/ Manufacturing area would be an advantage, but this is not essential as full specialist training will be given.
To be considered for this Mechanical Maintenance Technician role you must have one of the following:
- NVQ Level 3 o Degree in Engineering and at least two year's relevant experience
- BTEC Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering and at least two year's relevant experience in maintenance or production engineering.
Hours Of Work Options (Fixed Nights Or Rotating Shifts)
Nights are 9.54pm-6.06pm Mon to Thurs, 5.24pm - 10.36pm Fridays (38 hours basic)
Shifts are 6am-1.36pm Mon to Thurs, 6am-1.36pm - Rotating Shifts
