Senior Operations Manager – EV Design & Delivery – 12 month FTC
We’re looking for a Senior Operations Manager on a 12 month FTC to lead and manage a team of electrical contract managers to deliver EV infrastructure project plans with an emphasis on cost control. As well as overseeing the design and delivery of projects, you’ll need strong people management skills to ensure that your team have the skills, knowledge and experience to meet the current and future needs of the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure delivery of projects within forecasted timelines, budgeted revenue and charger numbers.
- Responsible for managing and delivering the larger projects within a regional area.
- Responsible for the teams site delivery within budget and timescales.
- Manger site design & cost production through supply chain and regional contract managers.
- Ensure compliance to CDM 15 on all aspects of design and delivery.
- Assist the BIDS team with tender documentation and design requirements.
- Ensure data and KPI’s are collated in time for review meetings.
- Collaborate with stakeholder management in bids, sales and PMO teams to meet the business direction and delivery.
- Manage the project installation phase with planned timelines, ensure quality from all 3rd party supply chains and direct labour electricians.
- Work with your team to ensure all new electrical installations requirements meet full compliance with BS: 7671 (18th Edition), IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Chargers (4th Edition) in line with all relevant civils work legislation (H&S, HERS, APEA)
- Be the point of escalation for the customers with project related communication.
- Ensure digital systems are updated to provide data for project reviews and KPI reporting.
What you’ll need:
- City & Guilds - Level 3 qualification - NVQ diploma in Electrotechnical services or equivalent
- City & Guilds - Level 3 qualification - NVQ diploma in Installing Electrotechnical systems and equipment or equivalent
- City & Guilds - Combined 2391-52 initial and periodic inspection & testing qualifications or equivalent
- City & Guilds - Level 3 Certificate in the requirements for electrical installations BS7671 preferably 18th edition 2382-18 otherwise 18th edition 2382 AMD 2
- Previous position of electrical Qualified Supervisor (NICEIC or Nappit)
- Contract Management – Follow project plans to ensure completion of the critical path.
- Comfortable working to meet tight deadlines whilst balancing multiple priorities and projects.
- Able to work with a range of stakeholders (internal and external) from a broad range of backgrounds.
- Excellent written communication, preferably with a technical slant.
Preferred Experience
- Previous contract management / supervising experience within an electrical installation delivery
- Experience of EV Charge Point installations on both single and three phase supplies
- CDM duty holder, PD or PC is advantageous.
- Preparation and management of H&S processes and procedures.
- CSCS, SMSTS card holders would be advantageous.
