Are you a Mechanically Biased maintenance technician looking for a new challenge? Are you sick of working continental shifts and giving up most of your weekends? We have an opportunity based on a standard 3 shift system, so this may be for you.
It's a multi skilled role but requires someone with a mechanical bias due to the importance of hydraulic equipment maintenance. You'll ideally need a foundation of electrical maintenance as you'll be working on a range of electro-mechanical equipment such as conveyors and other manufacturing equipment.
This role would be well suited to someone from the motor industry who wishes to move into a manufacturing maintenance role. Or someone who has spent their career in factory maintenance.
It's a 3 shift system working 6-2, 2-10 and 10-6 so no weekends are required unless you choose do do overtime.
Here are some of your responsibilities:- Carryout hydraulic & pneumatic engineering Read electrical drawings and schematics, in order to find and fix faults Control the plant start up and shutdown Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance Assist with preparation of boilers, vessels etc. for insurance inspections Follow, maintain and improve safety procedures within the engineering department and the Plant Carry out general maintenance, which includes electrical systems, boilers, pneumatics, hydraulics and recycling systems.
You'll need to be a time served maintenance technician (mechanical or electrical) ideally with experience in the manufacturing, plastics, FMCG or automotive sector.
