Role Purpose:
Lead, design, and advise on all future policing and future emergency management capabilities within NEOM. Key responsibilities include liaising with all Regions and specialist zones within the overall NEOM masterplan to ensure effective future Regional policing and emergency management strategies. Act as a specific point of contact for external consultants and agencies engaged with designing future NEOM public safety services. Ensure the effective integration of future technologies with best practice in policing and emergency management services.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Transform NEOM’s approach to policing and emergency management to action the NEOM vision of being the world’s safety living environment
- Work closely with NEOM Public Safety team counterparts to ensure identification of future-focused technologies that aid in ensuring public safety through reduced human intervention
- Support Livability specific to the Safety and Physical Security pillars of the Livability Framework
- Partner with NEOM University and NEOM Talent Academy regarding regulations, training standards, and licensing criteria specific to future safety and security personnel training requirements in NEOM
- Advise on Asset Reviews and lead Initial Asset Briefs for all Regions in determining future policing (both built and physical asset needs) to ensure complete safety and security in-line with the Public Safety Strategy
- Assist and advise all NEOM Regions and departments as a Subject Matter Expert in relation to the future of policing
- Lead on functional design and planning for NEOM specific future policing and emergency management functions
- Work closely with varied external contractors to ensure effective co-ordination of all future NEOM public safety plans and strategies
- Liaise with specialist consultant support to ensure design and delivery of an effective strategic plan for the implementation of NEOM’s future policing and emergency management requirements .
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 20+ years of experience as a police officer in a governmentally recognized and certified law enforcement agency
- 5+ years of experience in leadership positions at the chief executive officer level within a government-certified law enforcement agency
- Knowledge of global best practices in future policing and emergency management
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of future policing and emergency management technologies
- Broad background across all functional/operational areas of both policing and emergency management
- Experience leading policy writing and regulatory creation
- Skilled at working within very diverse multi-cultural environments
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a certified law enforcement training institute (basic policing skills)
- Bachelor’s degree mandatory
- Master’s Degree in related field highly desirable
- Executive Leadership certifications conferred by accredited governing bodies
- Additional national or international courses and/or training certificates highly desirable
