Role Purpose
The Technical Project Manager will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and optimization of smart building technologies. With a profound understanding of building automation, IoT, energy management, Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), and vendor management, this role will be at the forefront of innovative smart building solutions. The Senior Technical Project Manager will not only oversee the technical aspects but will also guide and lead project teams, ensuring the seamless integration of various technologies and ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards of excellence.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with architects, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders to design and oversee the implementation of advanced smart building systems.
- Oversee the setup, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of Building Management Systems (BMS), Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and IoT devices related to smart buildings.
- Lead and manage technical project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices during the design, deployment, and maintenance phases of smart building projects.
- Conduct thorough technical evaluations and audits of both existing and proposed building systems to guarantee optimal performance and interoperability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including protocols, guidelines, and configurations for all deployed smart building technologies.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and vendor management teams to fortify the robustness and security of all integrated smart building solutions.
- Guide, mentor, and provide training opportunities to junior technical staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and technical advancement.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in the smart building domain to ensure that the organization's technical solutions remain cutting-edge and competitive.

- Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and IoT devices.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and guide technical teams.
- Advocacy for best practices in design, deployment, and maintenance of projects.
- Ability to perform in-depth technical evaluations and audits.
- Aptitude for pinpointing optimization opportunities in both existing and upcoming building systems.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documents such as protocols, guidelines, and configurations for smart building technologies.
- Collaboration experience with cybersecurity teams to fortify smart building solutions.
- Track record of mentoring and training junior technical staff, emphasizing continuous learning and technical growth.
- Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in the smart building domain.
- Commitment to ensuring solutions remain contemporary and ahead of the curve.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to distill complex concepts into understandable terms for diverse audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certifications or additional hands-on training in smart buildings, building automation, IoT, or related areas are highly desirable.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
