My client are looking for someone who is an apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer who has progressed down the Project Engineering route. This role is to help drive over £3M of project spend each year, working closely with the Engineering team. Offering a salary of £50K to work Monday to Friday 8am - 4.45pm

The Role:
This role is accountable for the management and delivery of the engineering capital plan, along with providing engineering support to non-engineering capital projects and be responsible for delivering these projects in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the annual capital plan is delivered on time, on cost, in full, with engagement and involvement from all key stakeholders
- Ensure all new equipment and installation is delivered right first time
- Manage and determine the project schedule by studying the project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements
- Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, scheduling changes, and recommending actions and additionally controlling project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts
- Identify improvements (including but not exclusive to Productivity /Cost saving /safety) within the production environment and manage proposals from conception to completion
- Ensure that health and safety is at the forefront of planning and execution of all project work with adherence to all current regulations and advisory guidance.
The suitable candidate:
- Apprentice Trained Maintenance Engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias
- Experienced Project Engineer from an Engineering Manufacturing organisation
- Holder of IOSH Managing safely Cert
- Delivered projects which involved installing new machinery, robots, production lines within manufacturing businesses
- Experience of delivering minor projects up to £100K
- Experience of delivering improvement projects
- Working knowledge of CAD - be able to use it, don't need to be able to design on it
- Strong Project experience
- Excellent communication skills
