Sales Manager (Electrical Products - M&E contractors & installers) - HOME-BASEDin UK South or Midlands (ideally within reasonable travel distance of north west London)
A new vacancy for a Sales Manager with specialist manufacturer of ELECTRICAL POWER products used in a broad range of domestic, commercial, retail & industrial sectors throughout the UK and worldwide.
Establised for over 60yrs, the company has been responsible for innovations in the electrical power distribution market and still leads the way with new ideas and original products. Its product ranges are designed and manufactured at its production site in north west London, where in-house facilities include a metal shop, spray shop, assembly area, inspection and testing facility, packaging, dispatch, stores and a Research & Development office.
The company has recently launched an exciting new range of products developed specifically for the EV CHARGER and LIGHTING industries, and the Sales Manager will have full responsiblity for these product lines. The jobholder will also have the opportunity to develop & grow the company's sales department in the medium to long-term, so sales team management experience would also be an advantage. The ideal candidate should have good basic ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE, strong commercial instincts and proven sales ability.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop new business whilst growing existing wholesalers, electrical contractors and installers base
- Develop/Enhance Consultant/Specifier customer base
- Client meetings to present products
- Maintain and develop relationships with the existing customers
- Planning, coordinating and executing new product launches in the market
Candidate Requirements
- Previous field sales experience selling electrical products (such as switchgear, power distribution equipment, lighting, circuit protection solutions, EV charger products, etc)
- Strong networking skills with 'ready-to-go' contacts in M&E CONTRACTOR and INSTALLER markets
- Able to demonstrate good long-term job stability/loyalty to previous employers
- Experience working with wholesalers (not essential)
- Punctual, organised, able to learn new skills quickly
- Desire for a role with stability and long-term prospects
- Full clean driving licence
