Position
Lead, Digital Twin - Port Automation
Sector
OXAGON
Division/Section
Port & Sea Mobility
Department
Port Operations - Automation
Role Purpose
The Port of Neom will be one of the world’s most technologically advanced, efficient, and sustainable ports. To build our next-gen port with the first fully integrated supply chain and logistics center, Port of Neom will employ cutting-edge maritime and logistics innovations. All port and warehouse equipment will be fully automated using management systems powered by AI, maximizing direct delivery from vessel discharge to gate, on-dock rail, and warehouses.
To help achieve this ambitious goal, we are looking for a Digital Twin Lead.
The purpose of the
Lead, Digital Twin is to lead and support the implementation and usage of one or more digital twins of the port.
The purpose of the digital twin will be to test systems without affecting operations or the need to use equipment. It will also be used to investigate an optimal planning of yard and vessel activities for both the container terminal and the general cargo terminal.
This includes capacity planning, volume forecasting and yard usage optimization. The Digital Twin Lead should also support the planning of container, general cargo and bulk yard operations, ensuring smooth 24/7 operations and optimization of the process flow. This includes improving processes and procedures, operations monitoring, safety, reporting and service delivery. To support these activities the Digital Twin Lead will use and be responsible for the digital twin of the port.
Seamless integration between the container terminal and the automated warehouse is a key deliverable for the Neom Sea Mobility and Supply Chain and Logistics teams. As such optimization of warehouse processes and integration is also included in the scope, incorporating equipment usage and interfaces between the two assets. This role will provide simulation/emulation driven analysis of these interfaces to evaluate and optimize their behavior and performance.
