Total Package at the time of joining up to
£42,278.
We'll help you progress and develop yourself further and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that.
About The Role
What will I be doing?
As an Maintenance Technician, with mechanical bias, in our Energy from Waste facility, your role will be providing reactive and planned maintenance cover for all mechanical plant. You'll also offer cross-functional support to other team members as needed. Your responsibilities will include performing maintenance activities, ensuring excellent housekeeping, maintaining records within the computer maintenance management system (CMMS), and updating documentation to reflect plant modifications.
You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing heavy machinery rotating equipment critical to our operations.
You'll be a part of a 24-hour callout Rota and assist other SUEZ sites when required.
You might be asked to attend a specific training, however you will be properly compensated with
1.5x overtime rate, increasing to
2x on Sundays, and to
3x on bank holidays.
What are the requirements?
- Completion of a relevant engineering apprenticeship.
- Qualified to City and Guilds level or NVQ level 3.
- A minimum of 4 years of maintenance engineering experience in a process, steam raising, or heavy engineering environment.
- A suitable health and safety qualification (IOSH etc.).
- Experience working in a regulated business environment.
- Experience working under a permit to work system.
- Welding and burning experience.
- Regulatory monitoring requirements training (MCERTS).
- A basic appreciation of electrical systems.
- Experience in using computer maintenance management systems (CMMS).
