We have an exciting opportunity to join our Motor Fulfilment team as a Business Improvement Data Consultant, on a full-time and permanent basis.

Please note: this opportunity is predominantly home-based but will require occasional travel to your local office (London, Birmingham or Leeds).

Purpose of Role

Reporting to Business Implementation Manager, you will work in a highly engaged team environment and be responsible for the concept, creation, design, delivery, and ongoing management of key data visualisation resources to support sustainable improvements and drive benefits for the customer journey and business performance.

Work collaboratively with your colleagues and wider key stakeholder populations to fully understand the complex MI requirements and take responsibility for developing accurate, informative, and timely interactive data views to support visibility of supplier, departmental and individual performance metrics that support opportunities to drive continuous improvement and fulfilment of our core objectives.

Manage existing/ongoing MI distribution, taking ownership of some of the interactive mechanisms used by the Claims and Motor Fulfilment business areas, utilising opportunities to identify & implement improvements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Working closely with the Business Implementation Team (BIT) to create data analytics solutions that support the requirements of the Motor Fulfilment SLT and wider leadership teams, focussing on customer service levels, supplier/individual performance and indemnity control
  • Delivering detailed MI which is consistent, timely and accurate, utilising mechanisms and software solutions to create engaging and interactive views which can also enable end users to ‘self-serve’ data information within a live environment to support dynamic review/interaction and enhanced broader understanding
  • Pro-actively seek out opportunities for any business improvement initiatives and collaborate with your team to ensure that the ideas can be migrated from concept to reality through the appropriate planning and governance channels, supporting with the subsequent rollout to end users through interactive sessions
  • Utilise programming skills to assist with the development of new initiatives and interactive mechanisms which are stable, robust & user friendly, with data securely managed & available for appropriate extract creation
  • Support the BIT Manager with developing and communicating performance targets, driving the necessary engagement levels to motivate the management population to deliver against their targets successfully and sustainably, with customers and service levels at the heart of everything we do.
  • Act as a key stakeholder within any forums involving interactions with third party technology and business services suppliers, through support with performance monitoring mechanisms to ensure that DLG optimise the full contractual value.

What We Are Looking For

  • Expertise with VBA programming methodology and capabilities (Additional programming language expertise will also be beneficial e.g. Python, Java, SQL, HTML etc. )
  • Experience of using Power Automate, Power Apps and API’s would also be beneficial
  • High levels of competence with using databases & data visualisation tools (e.g. SharePoint Lists, Dataverse, Power BI, Tableau, AWS, and Insight data systems)
  • Advanced skills with Excel (Formulas, Pivot tables, Charts, Power Query, Large Data, Presentation, Office 365)
  • Fully embedded skills with using Excel, SharePoint, Power Point, Visio, Word and other key Microsoft products
  • Detailed experience with MI & data analytics creation through multiple engaging formats
  • Strong internal stakeholder engagement and relationship capabilities
  • Good financial management acumen, data analysis and insight capabilities

Hours: 35 hours (Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm)

Home Working : Hybrid model

Location: London, Birmingham, or Leeds
