An exciting opportunity for a hydraulic engineer to fast-track into the wind industry and to join a successful wind operation and maintenance service provider. The opportunity is to take on a leading role and to assist in the further growth of the business and development of the team. The successful candidate must be able to read hydraulic drawings and understand hydraulic systems and their repair.
We are launching a new programme designed to support experienced and ambitious engineers to transition into the Wind Industry.
Working closely with our sister company, Wind Tech in Denmark, the successful candidate will embark on an intensive 2 week, expense-paid training program working with our specialist main component repair technicians in Herning, Denmark. (https://www.wind-tech.dk/)
Cirrus and Wind Tech are part of the Herning Group - https://www.theherninggroup.com/.
The program will help you understand the fundamentals and inner workings of main components within onshore wind turbines. You will get to work on and understand gearboxes, generators, main shafts, yaw plates, and a great deal more.
Following this, you will spend a further 2 weeks of intensive training at our UK office in the Lake District, under one of our lead technicians.
We work across the UK, servicing, repairing, and building/commissioning wind turbines ranging from 225Kw to 1.3Mw. A normal working week will be working across our UK sites so a desire to work away from home for up to 4 nights per week is essential.
