Solar PV Electrician
WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?
Permanent role from outset
Minimum of £18.40 per hour, this is highly negotiable with experience
25 days holiday + bank holidays
37.5-hour standard weeks
Company vehicle provided
Tools provided if necessary
Monday – Friday working hours, overtime available
70% Local North East based, 30% travel involved

Our client who specialise within the renewables sector are seeking to appoint an experienced Field Engineer to install, remove, maintain and/or repair Solar PV Arrays, EV Chargers & other electrical installations on projects within the UK which may involve working away from home on occasion. Our client is based in Teesside. THE ROLE
Assess the parts needed for a Solar PV and EV installations and repairs
Installation of EV Chargers.
Installation of small power, such as ring main circuits etc.
Conduct routine maintenance and testing on Solar PV installations and EV installations
Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements
Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions
Install electrical systems to 18th edition wiring regulations
Qualified to carry out inspection and testing
Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements
H&S at work
Site Audit reports
Capable of running multi-building contracts and of demonstrating a working knowledge of all standards, directives and regulations appertaining to the aforementioned tasks
Capable of undertaking surveys of existing systems and making recommendations for improvements to system for current performance and for future requirements
Extensive knowledge of EU directives and British, European and International Standards
THE PERSON + ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Previous Electrical Experience in similar renewables environment
18th Edition qualified
2391-52 Electrical Inspection and Testing Qualified is essential
Ability to read, draw and understand site drawings
CSCE or ECS equivalent certification
Manual Handling
Working at Heights

Ability to work unsupervised
Excellent communication skills
Conscientious / Polite
Reliable / Flexible to work nationwide when needed

Ability to work within a team
