Role/Responsibilities:
· A professional with around 15-20 yrs. of experience in Hydrogen Fuel systems preferably on research & development of next generation vehicles
· Collaborate with other engineers to develop and integrate hydrogen storage tanks and other associated systems.
· Responsible in ensuring various systems requirements are captured, managed, and developed into design solutions.
· Develop and execute commissioning test plans to validate and demonstrate the integrity & performance of liquid hydrogen systems.
· Participate in design reviews to address integration issues early in the development.
· Responsible in contributing to overall development, coaching who will inspire team, lead process with the local and transnational system teams.
Skills:
· Experience in the architectural development of hydrogen systems
· Experience in Design and/or integration of fuel cells, cooling systems for Fuel Cells, Power electronics, Balance of Plant into hydrogen energy systems for powertrains.
· Working knowledge of thermal management solutions such as heat pumps and phase change cooling for batteries or other energy storage systems.
· Working experience in safety analysis of H2 systems integration (fuel cell, cooling systems, hydrogen tanks), using tools like DFMEA and PFMEA to develop test plans.
· Proficiency with CAD systems like CATIA, Siemens NX or SolidWorks will be highly regarded, as well as experience with FEA and CFD packages like ANSYS, Nastran/Patran or FLUENT (CFD)
· Knowledge of thermal management solutions such as heat pumps and phase change cooling for batteries or other energy storage systems.
· Strong hold on aircraft design and impact upon fuel systems architectural development and vice versa.
· Experience of working within an R&D environment with a focus on delivery to industry
· Knowledge on Functional systems development
Education: Degree qualified in Engineering/science subject
