Role Purpose

The Facilities Management (FM) Applications Owner is pivotal in ensuring the effective implementation and operation of FM technologies within THE LINE FM Organization. This role serves as the cornerstone of FM business knowledge within the technology team, bridging the gap between technical and business stakeholders. The incumbent will play a critical role in operationalizing FM services on THE LINE, ensuring that FM applications are not only aligned with business objectives but also effectively support the vast spectrum of FM services.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with FM Technologies Director to understand strategic objectives and the broader technology landscape.
• Provide in-depth knowledge and analysis of FM technologies, ensuring they meet business requirements and enhance FM service delivery.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and understanding of FM technology needs.
• Lead the capture and documentation of business requirements, ensuring that FM technology applications are tailored to meet these needs.
• Analyze and improve FM processes through technology solutions, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee the selection and management of technology vendors, including leading the RFP process to ensure the best technology solutions are sourced.
• Play a key role in shaping the FM technology strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
• Manage the overall user experience design of FM applications, ensuring they are intuitive and meet user needs.
• Working closely with Building Information Governance Lead to support a universal data layer, ensuring it supports FM application needs effectively.
• Work closely with engineering, operations, strategy, and leadership teams, offering expert advice and solutions in FM technologies.
• Be instrumental in specifying, implementing, and supporting FM applications, working in tandem with relevant teams for seamless execution.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated ability to provide in-depth knowledge and analysis of FM technologies, aligning them with business requirements and enhancing FM service delivery.
• Proficient in acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating clear and effective communication of FM technology needs.
• Expertise in leading the capture and documentation of business requirements, ensuring FM technology applications are customized to meet these needs.
• Strong ability in analyzing and enhancing FM processes through technology solutions, focusing on increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Skilled in overseeing the selection and management of technology vendors, including leading the RFP process to source optimal technology solutions.
• Competence in managing the overall user experience design of FM applications, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet user requirements.
• Capability to assist in the design of a universal data layer, ensuring effective support for FM application needs.
• Ability to work closely and effectively with engineering, operations, strategy, and leadership teams, providing expert advice and solutions in FM technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in specifying, implementing, and supporting FM applications, collaborating seamlessly with relevant teams for effective execution.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced qualifications or certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or related areas would be advantageous.
• Strong command of English, both oral and written.
