A Midlands-based battery cell research and manufacturing centre is currently recruiting a Maintenance / Manufacturing Technician - Cell Assembly. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the manufacturing process. Your expertise will help enable the industry to transition to full-scale, high-volume battery manufacturing.
The Maintenance / Manufacturing Technician - Cell Assembly duties:
- Responding promptly to breakdowns and providing first-line support in collaboration with the maintenance team.
- Conducting fault finding and diagnosis across a variety of control systems.
- Leading and supporting problem-solving activities to identify and address issues efficiently.
- Planning and performing TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and PM (Preventive Maintenance) activities.
- Operating production equipment in certain process streams.
- Conducting product validation testing to ensure quality standards.
- Taking the lead in implementing continuous improvements for equipment and processes.
- Occasional overseas travel may be required to support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and commissioning activities.
- Working in a clean and dry room environment to meet the required standards.
The successful Maintenance/Manufacturing Technician - Cell Assembly will have:
- Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical or Engineering.
- Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC/HND Level 3 or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance within a high-speed or precision environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with robot and automation systems.
- Experience working in teams and leading them effectively.
