Maintenance Lead Technician

Expleo Engineering are seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician to motivate and lead a team through effective communication and identifying and controlling clear roles and responsibilities. The successful individual will be tasked to co-ordinate and enable team activities in accordance with laid down schedule requirements and all company standards/processes. This will be a permanent role based at our clients site in South Wales.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Lead Technician include:

• Ensuring that the team can function at all times in terms of appropriately skilled labour.
• Enabling team members sufficient time to complete work within their agreed area of responsibility.
• Controlling and reducing all forms of waste using Kaizen, 5S, PPS and FTPM principles.
• Monitoring, controlling and improving the quality level within the team.
• Promoting the use of techniques for controlling and improving processes.

Background, skills and experience required for the Maintenance Lead Technician role:

• The ability to lead and develop a team of technicians.
• Experience of coaching and mentoring with the ability to identify team strengths and weaknesses.
• Ability to use diagnostic skills to determine faults and lead a team in the rectification of such faults.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, overtime, weekends to achieve production targets.
