Job Title: Corporate development analyst

The Role:
You’ll be at the heart of our strategic expansion, blending financial analysis and commercial acumen to shape our financial strategy, product development, and market expansion. Your work will directly influence our approach to financial analysis, investments, product innovation, and exploring new funding opportunities in the banking and insurance sectors related to renewable energy.
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the role will help drive growth, investment, and strategic finance activities across the business.
Lead financial modelling and analysis for strategic projects, investments, and corporate development initiatives, using data-driven decision-making.
Work alongside the Chief Development Officer to run end to end investment decisions. Including identification, structuring and negotiations of a range of commercial opportunities covering M&A, partnerships and JV’s.
Utilise advanced quantitative analysis to evaluate financial scenarios, optimise investment portfolios, and enhance UrbanChain’s financial planning and risk assessment capabilities.
Conduct market research, including analysis of the renewable energy, banking and insurance sectors, to identify trends, opportunities, and potential partnerships that could enhance UrbanChain’s product offerings.
Play a pivotal role in financial innovation and product development, identifying opportunities for UrbanChain to develop solutions that mitigate financial risks and open new revenue streams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial strategies with product development, and financial operations to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Requirements:
Autonomous, curious, and innovative thinker, eager to explore new solutions in financial services and renewable energy.
Strong foundation in financial modelling and quantitative analysis, with a creative approach to solving complex problems.
Demonstrable experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, and potentially in product development within the renewable energy or financial services sector.
Proficiency in advanced quantitative tools and methodologies, with the ability to translate complex datasets into strategic insights.
Qualified ACA, ACCA, CFA, or a degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Data Science, or related fields.
Knowledge of the renewable energy, banking, insurance or fintech sectors is preferable.
Knowledge of coding beneficial.
