SUEZ has a vision: a society with no more waste, where waste materials are reused, recycled or recovered for their energy content. To that end, we operate Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities. Where waste that would normally go to landfill is used to create energy, offsetting the need for fossil fuels. SUEZ also operate a number of processing facilities such as MRFs (Materials Recycling Facilities). As a Graduate Engineer at SUEZ, youll have the chance to develop your skills amongst our experts and learn about innovative, green waste management.
About The Role
£27,560 per annum + Car or Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
Can be based anywhere in the UK that is close to a SUEZ EfW site
Role is offered on a 24 month basis - incorporatingwork placements within the business. There will be travel expected in this role.
A Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role
You must have the right to work in the UK.
What will I be Doing?
New anaerobic digestion (AD) site development
Making improvements in existing operations on are AD site located at the Charlton Lane Surry, Eco Park
Finding efficiencies and cost savings where applicable and working with the Technical Team and Operations to communicate these out and implement where needed.
Research new technologies in AD and Landfill leachate treatment
Assist the Process Development Technical team as required.
Assist internal customers within the Landfill and Alternative Energy department with technical biological issues.
Research and development
Finding solutions for complex issues within the department.
Giving assistance where needed for trailing new potential solutions.
Technical report writing
Data collection, entry
Data collation and summary
Assisting the technical team where requested which could involve a wide variety of task from acting as safety watch to
Acquiring quotes from technology providers for consideration by technical and operations management
What are the Requirements?
Were looking for a technically capable person with a relevant degree (or equivalent) in an Science discipline at a grade 2:1 or higher upon completion - Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Physics, Earth Sciences or Environmental Science.
A'levels in at least 2 of the following subjects -Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Physics, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Mats, English Language/Literature or Computer Science
Basic process control knowledge such as function and types of valves, safety systems and use and function of a SCADA system.
Graduated within the last 3 years
Full UK Driving licence is essential for this role.
