Ecologist

We are looking for an enthusiastic Ecologist to join a well established, multi-disciplinary company in Manchester. The company work on a range of projects in sectors including residential, commercial, education, public realm and green infrastructure. You will be assisting the wider team in undertaking habitat and protected species surveys, assisting with data input and analysis, research and report writing. You will be supported by a strong team of Ecologists, enabling you to gain valuable training and obtain protected species licences.
You'll be involved at all stages of the project and will be working alongside a team of ecologists, landscape architects and arboriculturalists. The company offer paid CIEEM memberships, a generous holiday allowance, charity social events throughout the year, paid overtime or TOIL, retail discounts and paid CIEEM memberships.
What You'll Do
Conduct ecological surveys and assessments.
Analyze data and prepare reports for environmental impact assessments.
Develop and implement strategies for habitat restoration and conservation.
Provide expert advice on biodiversity conservation and environmental management.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.
Strong Fieldwork Skills And Experience With Ecological Survey Techniques.
Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
