We are looking for an experience ESG Lead to work for the Lanes Group.

Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Lead the development and implementation of the group wide ESG strategy, including Net Zero decarbonisation plans with reduction target roadmap.
  • Creating policies and guidelines related to sustainability programmes effecting ESG in the organisation.
  • Monitoring and reporting of progress towards achievement of ESG strategic objectives including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate ESG risks in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Including periodic materiality assessments and updating the ESG strategy accordingly.
  • Advising the business on the practical application of sustainability frameworks and standards.
  • Develop and maintain due diligence and measurement processes to monitor ESG efforts.
  • Report on impacts and progress according to industry-wide best practices and frameworks.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing and training initiatives to enhance ESG knowledge and awareness across the group.
  • Identify strategic opportunities and engage in industry initiatives to contribute to sector wide ESG innovation. Engage key strategic stakeholders and industry organisations, including taking part in partnerships, forums, surveys, and memberships.
  • Lead sustainability campaigns, communications and collaborate with operational teams to develop and deliver concepts.

Person Specifications

  • Minimum of 3-years of managerial level experience in corporate sustainability
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead effectively.
  • Demonstrated track record in delivering ESG programmes in a pragmatic and collaborative manner.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of environmental standards and frameworks: such as UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail

This role is mainly Hybrid work - whilst you will be required to have meeting with stakeholders sometimes on sites the majority of the work will be carried out remotely on behalf of the companies within the group

Hours of Work are 37.5 hours a week
