We are looking for a Sustainability Data & Projects Analyst to join our Sustainability team at Simba reporting to the Director of Sustainability. Your Impact: The Sustainability Data & Projects Analyst will help Simba move to the next level in sustainability reporting by setting up our Net Zero framework and ambitious targets, achieving SBT and more. Your role would involve gathering environmental data (carbon, climate, water, biodiversity, waste and others), measuring product carbon footprints, start reporting systems and processes and contributing to the completion of SBT, Net Zero KPIs, future sustainability reporting include CSDR and TCFD and other queries from investors and key stakeholders on environmental data. Key Responsibilities: Create and lead on all environmental data collection and management. This may include greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, biodiversity related measures and other relevant metrics Analyse environmental data to identify trends and areas for improvement Prepare reporting to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders Start and monitor progress towards STBIs and other climate targets Calculating product carbon footprints and work closely with the product and sourcing team Scoping and delivering science-based sustainability impact assessments, based on LCA tools and methodologies Build effective partnerships with suppliers to build transparent reporting and target setting Create sustainability procurement schedule for all new suppliers Prepare content for annual Impact Report including progress, case studies and data disclosure, adopting best practices and assurances Research and analyse Simba’s performance against peers in UK, Canada, China and USA to help identify opportunities to strengthen Simba’s own work Support on improvement projects as required Supporting customer collaboration with engaging material/ case studies Sourcing and communicating on external/ insights to contribute to our global climate literacy program Requirements: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability or a related field 2-3 years of working within a corporate sustainability team Experience of sustainability data collection, analysis and reporting Experience of main modelling approaches in LCA and Product carbon footprints Strong analytical skills, an ability to quickly grasp technical issues and assess data Advanced Excel knowledge Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English Driven and able to work independently Core Competencies: Measurement and reporting, stakeholder engagement, project support, research & analysis, influence This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Sustainability Analyst to join an innovative, dynamic and fast growing company!
