About The Role

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in performing routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs on various mechanical systems and components within our manufacturing environment. This position offers a dynamic work setting where each day provides an opportunity to tackle different challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment, including inspections and servicing.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs using drawings, manuals, and test equipment.
  • Execute repairs and component replacements, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to production.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance Engineers to devise maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
  • Document maintenance processes and activities.
  • Contribute to Root Cause Analysis and detailed investigations into equipment failures.

About You: Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an individual who demonstrates a strong mechanical acumen coupled with the ability to work effectively under pressure. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognized qualification in mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role, familiar with safe systems of work, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on COMAH and PPC regulated industrial plants
  • Understanding of condition monitoring techniques and interpreting diagnostic information for fault finding.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide solutions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a diverse team, displaying effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety standards and practices at all times.
