Solar PV Designer Poole/ Cardiff Our innovative client, a clear lead in their field is looking for an experienced Solar PV designer to join their interesting and expanding business. Our client is committed to delivering high-quality projects and has an impressive portfolio of work in high-end markets. As Solar PV Designer you will play a crucial role in the design and development of Solar PV Projects. Key Responsibilities as Solar PV Designer

  • Compiling shading analysis and feasibility studies
  • Using AutoCAD software to create detailed layout plans, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Working closely with a variety of other teams within the business such as Project Manager, engineering and clients to develop customised solutions.
  • Perform system sizing calculations, equipment selection, and component specifications based on site conditions, electrical load profiles, and regulatory standards.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and technological advancements. Experience as Solar PV Designer
  • Solid demonstrable AutoCAD and PV*Sol, Helioscope, PVSsyst experience
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent
  • A good understanding of MCS Regulations
  • At least 5 years’ experience working within solar PV system design and engineering.
  • Knowledge of UK-specific electrical codes, standards and regulations related to PV installations.
