We are seeking a motivated master planner to join our team on the largest giga project in the world. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the future of NEOM's food production assets, collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver innovative and sustainable built environments.

Introduction

In line with the board-approved Food Sector Strategy, the Topian Asset Development team oversees a portfolio of over 40 assets spanning all 5 business units, situated in different stages of development across various locations in NEOM.

This role involves providing support in the delivery of built work and contributing to the development of creative, contextually responsive, and economically viable urban planning strategies and solutions. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to comprehend large-scale master plans, with a focus on continuous improvement, attention to detail, and ensuring that all planning efforts align with the organization's overall objectives and goals.

Function Specific

• Interfacing with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization Supporting the delivery of built work and ensuring the project meets its milestones and deadlines
• Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure successful delivery of network capacity on time
• Ensure all work is in line with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the conception of creative and innovative urban design solutions, and helping set new standards
• Create, submit, and track relevant documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with best overall value
• Deep dive on technical details and support problem resolution on a need basis
• Communicate project progress, facilitate, and escalate decision-making, and support requests
• Coordinate and monitor progress against the master plan, and adjust as necessary to ensure that the organization remains aligned with its goals and objectives and all deliverables are developed effectively
• Interface between proponent, Projects team, PMC, contractor, regional proponents and other relevant sectors to communicate asset needs and requirements
• Work with all internal stakeholders to achieve mutual desired outcomes through a collegiate and collaborative working approach
• Promote a high-performance working environment embracing NEOM’s values
• Strong coordination and organization skills and willingness to proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders
• Proven team-player contributing to multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge And Experience

• 5-8 years of proven experience in large scale planning and construction projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project data and provide actionable insights
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and circumstances whilst working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically and strategically in the development and implementation of creative solutions to complex planning challenges
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
• Excellent working knowledge using planning and design software/tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project; AutoCAD, Revit, ESRI ArcGIS is an advantage
• Understanding of the range of specializations and disciplines that interact in planning projects and processes
• Ability to represent NEOM and Topian at diverse levels, meetings, and events
• Familiarity with NEOM's vision, goals, and reporting requirements is an advantage
• Passion for NEOM’s mission in adopting innovation
• Experience in KSA or MENA region is preferred
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's degree in urban planning, urban design or a related field
• Previous experience of working within a multicultural environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/ Adobe Creative Suite / Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience utilizing geographic information systems (GIS) software
• Proficiency in English
