About the Role:

As an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician at Protium Green Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hydrogen production facilities. Working closely with our experienced team, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment, conducting routine inspections, and troubleshooting any operational issues to ensure uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and efficiency of production equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
  • Implement preventative maintenance procedures to prolong the lifespan of equipment and prevent costly repairs.
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimise production processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards at all times.
  • Document maintenance activities, equipment performance, and any issues encountered for future reference.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance schedules and procedures to streamline operations.
  • Liaise, schedule and organising MCP and tube trailer movements with our haulage and logistic partners to ensure production can run to schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in an O&M setting, preferably in the industrial gases industry, energy or a similarly regulated background. The ideal candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced and challenging environment, someone who is not afraid to ask questions and actively put their ideas forward. Specifically, we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering).
  • Tradesman / Advanced Craftsman by experience.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to hydrogen production facilities or similar.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering-related field is preferred.
