Your dream role:

  • We need an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Chassis reliability team to ensure support and delivery of class leading reliability on our products
  • Managing a small team of reliability engineers with particular focus on the vehicles chassis related components and IC/EV drive systems.
  • The role will work closely with the aftermarket team, quality team, manufacturing team, supplier quality assurance, new product development & engineering teams to deliver class leading products, processes, and procedures.
  • You will be someone with strong technical, process development, root cause corrective action, design, and communication skills
  • Opportunities like this don't come along often - you will have exposure to a wide range of senior stakeholders and complex technical issues
  • We are a fast-paced business with priorities shifting all the time. Every day will bring different types of technical issues.


What you will bring:

  • Preferably degree qualified in an appropriate technical discipline - HNC level will be accepted with the prerequisite experience.
  • 5+ Years in vehicle manufacture, design, or automotive aftermarket - EV experience an advantage
  • Experience of applying the 8D Problem solving methodology - Six Sigma Green belt would be an advantage
  • Self-motivated with high professional standards and leadership ability
  • Hands-on experience in both reliability and quality tools such as FRACAS, DFMEA, HALT
  • Experience in data analysis, process development, culture change and improvement of product reliability, with strong quantitative and/or statistics skills
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence across a globally diverse team
  • Strong critical thinking, and root cause analysis skills, prepared to challenge the status quo in a constructive manner when required
  • Ability to support and implement change management as part of a team.
  • Experience of process design, implementation, and adherence.
  • Reliability target setting and achievement
  • Product liability awareness
  • Things can be hectic here. You will remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritise a busy workload.
