We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the King Yard Energy Centre in Stratford, London. This facility supplies heat, chilling, and electricity to various consumers in and around the Olympic Park. The role requires managing and maintaining district heating scheme generation and distribution equipment, including large-scale boilers, Combined Heat and Power (CHP), and chiller plants.
Shift Schedule:

- 4 x 12hr Days (6am - 6pm)
- 4 Days Off
- 4 x 12hr Nights (6pm - 6am)
- KING YARD ENERGY CENTRE, 5 CLARNICO LANE, STRATFORD, LONDON
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the King Yard Energy Centre in Stratford, London. This facility supplies heat, chilling, and electricity to various consumers in and around the Olympic Park. The role requires managing and maintaining district heating scheme generation and distribution equipment, including large-scale boilers, Combined Heat and Power (CHP), and chiller plants.
Given the size of the site, a full driving license is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform planned maintenance as defined by contractual obligations
- Execute repairs, reactive maintenance, and minor installations on plant equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults, with a strong emphasis on customer service
- Act as the engineer in charge during off-hours
- Proactively monitor plant equipment to ensure efficient operation
- Diligently complete required paperwork and reports
- Perform other duties as needed, potentially outside normal working hours
- Minimum City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with large-scale heating, chilling, and electrical systems from both electrical and mechanical perspectives
- Practical experience with IT-related monitoring systems is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full driving license is essential
