Role Overview -
As the Major Projects Lead, you will be responsible for leading and delivering a major capital program within the power sector. The scope of the project involves a large-scale infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing the power transmission networks with a valuation of around £100 million. This project will entail extensive interface management with stakeholders, and you will serve as the client lead, overseeing all activities associated with the project, including executive-level leadership and briefing within our organisation.
Your day-to-day -
- Act as the sole lead of the program, responsible for all aspects of project management and delivery.
- Interface with key stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Provide executive-level briefing on the progress and status of the program to internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments and effectively manage relationships to drive project success.
- Coordinate and collaborate with various departments and business units to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the program objectives.
About You -
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering major capital programs, with a budget of £80million or more.
- Experience within the power/energy sector, preferably with a focus on nuclear, power generation, or similar projects.
- Strong understanding of leading major programs in complex stakeholder environments, with the ability to navigate challenges and drive alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to pull together different parts of businesses to engage and deliver on major programs.
- Experience interfacing with major electricity transmission stakeholders is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to brief executives on the progress and status of major programs.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
