As our Maintenance Team in Operations within the Industrial Gases in the UK and Ireland continues to grow, we would like to welcome a Field Mechanical Technician.

About The Team

You will be joining the maintenance team of 20 plus field engineers working across UK and Ireland.

As The Field Mechanical Technician, You Will

Provide hands on support to perform field and workshop activities related to repair, modification, and refurbishment of a variety of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and expanders, heat exchangers and pressure vessels. You will primarily be working under the direct supervision of either a Field Mechanical Technician Supervisor, or a Mechanical Field Engineer.

You will have good verbal and written communication skills and be expected to be able to liaise with contractors and internal customers and to write follow-up reports and EMRs following the execution of field work, as and when required.

As the Field Mechanical Technician, you already are or have:

  • Level 3 external qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Completion of recognised mechanical apprenticeship or proven skills in this area.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal & team working skills is crucial to working in a small team size.
  • Strong safety mindset and focus on operating practices.
  • Good communication and customer facing skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude to deliver results.
  • Computer skills
  • Driver’s licence
