Head of Farm Member Services

This is a job advert for a Head of Farm Member Services of which the ability to communicate in fluent Welsh is essential.

Location – Rhydygwystl, Chwilog, Pwllheli, North Wales – reporting to Managing Director.

The Role:

We are recruiting for a senior management role detailed below and would welcome applications from all individuals who want to be part of our exciting future.

• We are seeking talented and enthusiastic individual, who would like to join us on our journey of growth and sustainability for our co-operative and farmer members.
• We are looking for those who positively challenge and add value to our farmer supply-chain.
• Understand the role of an Assessor & demonstrate effective assessment techniques.
• Ability to understand, interpret, communicate and develop on-farm standards.
• Ability to understand, interpret and communicate the requirements of appropriate legislation.
• Demonstrate knowledge & understanding of Regulations & Codes of Practice applicable to Dairy production.
• Ability to evaluate condition of member farms & assess environmental conditions that may have impact on supply sustainability.
• Demonstrate a high level of competence in using business tools for budgeting and monitoring.  
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to create opportunities to grow existing milk field both organically and strategically.
• Position is full time – 40 hours per week. We are a flexible employer and will accommodate working arrangements designed to meet personal and business objectives.

The Applicant: 

• We are looking for applicants with ideally minimum of 3 years industry experience.
• 2:1 BSc Hons degree in agriculture or equivalent.  
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills to utilise and develop farm monitoring systems.
• Able to work on own initiative in a methodical & professional manner.
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Effective communicator (verbal & written Welsh & English) at all levels.
