Solar PV Field Engineer Salary: £35000-45000 depending on experience Location: Field Based, ideally based Midlands/ North England About the Field Engineer role: This is a Field Engineer role covering the whole of the UK and would suit a well-organised team player who is also self-motivated and able to adapt to change. The Company is experiencing considerable growth and has the additional benefit of being a division of a c£1bn family-owned business. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of PV Systems and an organised manner is more important than academic qualifications. Key Field Engineer Responsibilities:
- Facilitate existing O&M Contracts
- Visit and inspect sites, Identify and present system upgrades, detect and remedy issues, produce monthly performance reports.
- Remedial work
- Deal with enquiries, action to resolve issues, manage own diary, evaluate cost of remedial works, appoint sub-contractors.
- Customer Data Management
- Implementation and management of remote monitoring equipment
- Department Development
- Assist with development of growth plans, About you:
- Have a good understanding of health and safety legislation - minimum requirement working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Working experience of established manufacturer's equipment e.g. Solis, SMA, SolarEdge, Schneider
- Experienced in using and manipulating data from inverter reporting software.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in solar PV installation - commercial.
- Awareness of environmental issues, particularly where they link with health and safety compliance.
- 18th Edition qualification
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Testing
- 2391-52
- Hold a minimum of Blue CSCS Skilled Worker status or relevant alternative.
- Good time management skills and able to prioritise workloads / outputs.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
- Able to communicate professionally with all customers. Personal attributes
