Please note this role can be located anywhere in the UK but as you will be responsible for EHS this will include some travel to the following sites: Byfleet, UK Weybridge, UK Burton, UK Dublin, Ireland The Role: We are excited to be seeking an EHS & Sustainability Manager who will collaborate across Clinigen’s UK&I footprint to develop and improve our EHS systems and Sustainability (ESG) Strategy. You will support the delivery of world class EHS and Sustainability performance that facilitates improvement in the health and safety of our employees, operations, and reduction in our environmental impacts. You will contribute to operational margin via standard EHS loss prevention and also to the improvement of Clinigen's marketing position through deployment of our ESG Strategy. Environment, Health & Safety: Compliance, Culture and Loss Prevention: Maintain an effective EHS Management System aligned to ISO:45001 and ISO:14001 across our UK&I sites and operations. Ensure the UK&I is compliant with all EHS legislation and regulations, including maintenance of a legal register. Ensure Clinigen operates in accordance with any health, safety, and environmental policies and the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors and any other HSE organisational and ethical requirements are paramount. Culturally, to drive and develop EHS processes and procedures within the organisation, implementing a behavioural approach to safety and a zero-tolerance culture. Drive any necessary culture change and improvement in business performance to deliver strategic goals. Implement initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents, occupational illnesses and exposure to long-term health hazards. Ensure all sites (in scope) are aware of best practice preventative measures and resolutions in place. This includes Risk Assessments strategies, Site Safety plans, and supporting local site leads. To implement a systemised, targeted Safety Audit process across all UK&I sites. Sustainability (ESG): Own and implement Clinigen’s Net Zero Roadmap and Environmental Objectives which form part of the company’ overall ESG Strategy. Be Clinigen’s Champion and Lead on the ESG Board for Environmental Performance and Impact Reduction. Lead a number of environmental initiatives outlined in Clinigen’s ESG Strategy, including “war on waste” and circularity on packaging. Responsible for the coordination and the collection, storage, and analysis of environmental data and to produce management reports (using the Greenstone+ Enterprise platform), identify trends and recommend action. Support completion of questionnaires/submissions to CDP and Ecovadis on an annual basis. Support the VP Commercial Finance with the implementation of tactical actions relating to EHS in the context of Clinigen’s wider ESG Strategy. Key Requirements: 3+ years working in a multi-site role. Degree level (or equivalent) education in EHS management (or equivalent). Recognised Environmental qualification preferable. NEBOSH diploma or equivalent. Member of the Institution of Occupation Safety and Health (IOSH). Ability to interpret Health and Safety legislation and produce written policy. Project management skills. Ability to design and deliver training. Excellent oral communication skills, including presentation and training experience. Awareness of cGDP & cGMP guidelines towards Facility Management is desirable.
