React Developer - Energy Trading Firm - London / Hybrid
Aubay is seeking a talented React Developer to join our team and help us build next- tools and experiences for our customers and colleagues. You will be working at the forefront of energy innovation with a passionate group of developers and designers, contributing to our mission to deliver clean energy to businesses and homes. By connecting and managing 100% renewable energy through the intelligent control of renewable generators, such as wind turbines and solar panels, we accelerate the UK's transition to net zero carbon emissions. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of creating and maintaining complex web applications and delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills And Experience
- Proven experience building React-based applications or with similar front-end frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with React state management tools, such as Zustand and Redux.
- Experience with front-end development tools, including Storybook.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks like Cypress.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Ability to work effectively within an Agile team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Collaborative mindset with a desire to help others.
Desirable Skills And Experience
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js or Python.
- Familiarity with relational or non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure.
- Experience with container orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, Apollo Client, D3, and other advanced front-end technologies.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Build responsive, user-friendly front-end web applications.
- Ensure that front-end applications are well-tested and built with high-quality code.
- Promote best practices for coding while contributing to our testing methods.
- Participate in scoping sessions and help build our product roadmap.
- Continuously develop an understanding of the energy industry and our operating context.
- Design and deliver collaboratively, serving as a trusted point of contact within the company.
