Moxie People is supporting a well-known third sector organisation in hiring Head of People & Transformation for a 6-9 month fixed-term contract. The Head of People & Transformation will be instrumental in shaping the organisation's cultural and digital framework.
Job Title: Head of People & Transformation
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Duration: 6-9 months initially
Location: Cardiff / Hybrid
Purpose Of The Role
The Head of People & Transformation will lead the people and digital strategy, working with the executive team to drive cultural and operational change. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, overseeing HR, wellbeing, payroll, and health & safety while championing digital transformation and organisational development to meet the company's future needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a people and digital strategy aligned with organisational goals for long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on cultural and people initiatives
- Lead a team of 8, while driving transformational and cultural changes.
- Liaise with unions on pay negotiations and employee relations, ensuring fair outcomes
- Standardise processes and policies to enhance efficiency and support digital transformation.
- Drive succession planning and talent development
- Promote engagement with digital tools and data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor transformation progress, managing risks and ensuring KPIs are met.
- Ensure governance frameworks support change initiatives, working with finance and other teams.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (EDI) in all people strategies.
- Boost employee engagement by addressing trends and measuring initiative outcomes.
- Ensure clear communication plans for transformation and company-wide initiatives.
- Build external partnerships to keep the organisation responsive to industry changes.
Person Specification
- Extensive HR expertise with senior leadership experience advising executives and decision-makers.
- Proven track record in organisational design, cultural change, and digital transformation.
- Strong ability to lead change, manage risks, engage stakeholders, and ensure leadership accountability.
- Proficient in IT systems supporting business processes and data management, with experience driving system changes.
- In-depth knowledge of data protection, GDPR compliance, and data governance.
- Experienced in embedding EDI principles into organisational culture and strategy.
- Excellent communicator, capable of presenting complex information to senior leadership and boards.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Resilient, enthusiastic, and passionate about driving change in people and digital services.
