Rampion Offshore Wind Farm, a leader in renewable energy innovation, is inviting skilled and dedicated individuals to apply for the role of Offshore Wind Technician.

As an Offshore Wind Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our state-of-the-art wind turbines here at Rampion, this being part of RWE’s large global fleet in Offshore Wind.

About the Role:

Maintenance and Servicing: Perform routine and corrective maintenance tasks on wind turbines and associated generation network
Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and maximise the power harnessed from the wind
Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team
Data Analysis: Utilize SCADA systems to monitor turbine performance and identify areas for improvement
Project Work: Participate in various projects, such as upgrades, retrofits, and major component exchanges

Job requirements and experience:

Technical Expertise: A significant background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering, ideally with a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
Safety Focus: A commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of HSSE regulations
Problem-solving skills: The ability to think critically and find innovative solutions
Physical Fitness: The capacity to work in complex conditions, including offshore environments and of course, at height
Teamwork: Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Flexibility: A willingness to work a shift pattern and infrequently work offshore overnight when specialist projects arise
Location: You must live a reasonable distance to site or be willing to relocate
